Co-Owners Mike Vindler and Jason Economou purchased Tronix3D, a contract based Additive Manufacturer in 2021.   Since that time the pair have guided production and strategy of 3D printing to new heights. The company specializes in producing low volume production and prototype parts. Services also include mechanical design and consulting as it relates to additive manufacturing. Printing processes include HP Multijet Fusion (HPMJF), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), and Stereolithography (SLA). Customers include the robotics, energy, automotive, medical and defense industries.

Mike Vindler

Owner, CEO
As a Development Engineer in the Energy Industry, Mike has a long history with additive manufacturing and mechanical design. He was a leading proponent of AM while working for a Fortune 500 company. Pioneering some of the first projects to use AM parts at the company for production components while also spearheading the adoption of the technology among other engineers within the organization. Mike also has been working directly with Tronix3D as a client and customer which brings a clear view to the team of what future customers need and expect in order to position Tronix3D as a leader in the AM market.
Building on years with his family contract engineering business, Jason set up and ran a high end composites consulting and fab shop in Pittsburgh, shifting with increasing demands from clients to contract design services. He has extensive experience matching materials and processes to designs and intent, reducing cost, complexity and barriers to production. Jason’s diverse design and engineering background includes vaccine and inoculation machinery, oil and gas equipment and mechanical design for the world's largest vertical farm. He has been educating clients in materials, manufacturing methods, and their limitations and advantages, as well as designing to them for years.

Alex Trader

Head of Sales
Alex brings a uniquely people-first approach to innovation and business development, guided by his personal mantra: “Cultivating Meaningful Relationships in Technology & Innovation.” As Head of Sales at Tronix3D, he connects clients with additive manufacturing solutions that are both practical and forward-thinking—fueled by a deep understanding of industry needs and a passion for empowering others. Based in Pittsburgh, Alex is an active leader in the regional tech ecosystem. He serves as President of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) Pittsburgh chapter and is a familiar face across the city’s startup and innovation communities. His experience spans Tronix3D, ForceBuilders, and countless partnerships formed through events, mentorship, and strategic collaborations. Whether he’s helping a client understand the value of additive manufacturing or introducing two people who end up creating something extraordinary, Alex thrives at the intersection of relationships and results. His ability to elevate others while building trusted connections is at the heart of his work—and a key driver of Tronix3D’s growth.

Ken Koenig

Additive Manufacturing Technician
Ken brings a background in quality control and production management from the electrical manufacturing industry, where he developed a strong focus on process efficiency and precision. At Tronix3D, he is responsible for maintaining print equipment and executing production jobs to exacting standards. His experience working on high-end exotic vehicles further reinforces his mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. With a hands-on approach and a solutions-oriented mindset, Ken plays a key role in ensuring consistent output and operational reliability across Tronix3D’s additive manufacturing workflow.

Ryan Solo

Account Executive
Ryan brings a combined background in digital marketing, customer engagement, and production operations to his role at Tronix3D. Initially joining the company as a technician, he quickly transitioned into a sales-focused role where he helps guide clients through the quoting and production process. With previous experience running his own web design and marketing business, Ryan understands how to position solutions in both technical and business terms. His ongoing exposure to additive manufacturing and direct involvement in client success allows him to support a wide range of industries and applications as part of Tronix3D’s customer-facing team.

Nick McGinnis

Additive Manufacturing Technician
Nick brings over 25 years of experience spanning automotive technology and software development, offering a rare combination of mechanical insight and technical problem-solving. At Tronix3D, he supports the production team by maintaining 3D printers, managing post-processing tasks such as build unpacking, media blasting, part finishing, and assembly. He also plays a key role in order preparation and final quality assurance before shipment. Nick’s dedication to learning and continuous improvement contributes to the high standard of service and output that defines Tronix3D’s operations.

Tessa Solo

Executive Administrator
Tessa manages the administrative backbone of Tronix3D, supporting payroll, accounting, and internal coordination across the company. Her background includes experience in healthcare as a Unit Coordinator and in customer service and instruction-based roles. Since joining Tronix3D, she has taken an active interest in 3D printing—working with in-house FDM systems and learning the fundamentals of the technology. Her ability to manage details, support the team, and stay organized makes her an essential part of the company’s day-to-day operations.

William Rose

Sales Engineer
Will brings a background in mechanical design and consultation to his role at Tronix3D. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida. During his time in school, Will worked as an intern in the defense industry, where he was able to utilize CAD tools and was first exposed to the application of additive manufacturing techniques. Most recently, he worked more directly with the military, developing training products and demonstrators and consulting other teams on the structural and seismic viability of mechanical designs. At Tronix3D, Will provides technical support to the sales team by recommending design modifications or alternative materials for parts. His ability to communicate the needs of the customer with production, and vice versa, allows him to yield the best results for the customer.

Teddy Forster

Additive Manufacturing Technician
From automotive technology to additive manufacturing, Teddy brings a passion for hands-on problem solving and performance-driven thinking to Tronix3D.With an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology and experience in both automotive repair and racing environments through iBuildRacecars, he has built a strong technical skillset grounded in precision and adaptability.Outside the shop, Teddy is all about sports and competition. He coaches and plays baseball, plays basketball weekly, and is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He also enjoys automotive modification and performance tuning, continuing his passion for engineering and mechanics beyond the workplace.
